My 25 Days of Holiday Treats has been going strong!!! And today is no…
I am typically the girl that has all my 10 main entree’s picked out weeks ahead of my holiday party. But when it comes to the side dishes…I always procrastinate…This year we are not letting that happen.
So ladies and gents…in my attempt to keep myself sane I have created this little list of some our favorite side dishes and appetizers that make an appearance at almost all my holiday dinners.
Let’s kick things of with a bang shall we? Enter my fragrant and sweet Roasted Garlic . How can this be used as an appetizer you ask? Simple. I serve 10-15 bulbs on my holiday table with loads of crusty cut up baguettes. Instead of using butter or olive oil, my guests smear this sweet goodness all over the baguettes. Not only is it ridiculously simple but it is a hell of a lot healthier! Plus you can make extra and keep it in your fridge in a bit of olive oil to add to sauces and marinades!
Nothing makes a table look more festive than colorful veggies. And my Oven Roasted Garlic and Parmesan Purple Cauliflower does just that. It’s crispy, tender and it will make it easier for the kids to gobble these little gemstones up!
If you want a new twist on a classic mashed potato…these babies are perfection. My Crispy Mashed Potato Cakes with Serrano Ham and Gruyere will be just the original touch your spuds need! Plus this is a great way to utilize your leftover mashed potatoes on Thanksgiving Morning 🙂
Give these classic beauties a makeover by roasting them! Plain ole’ brussel sprouts are transformed into Garlic and Chili Pepper Brussels Sprouts with just a few ingredients!
The rosemary and garlic in these Rosemary Roasted Mushrooms will fill your whole house with savory smells and fill everyone’s bellies as well.
Aghhh I do not think I need to say anything about these golden beauties… My Golden Potatoes with Garlic Chive Butter will disappear off your table QUICK . Make sure you make extra!
This Lemony Parmesan Asparagus is uber quick and a perfect addition to any of your seafood or poultry dishes.
Speaking of seafood, these Tuscan Mussels and Shrimp are absolutely perfection for any appetizer or 2nd course. Just make sure you serve plenty of crusty bread for dipping into the yummy broth left behind as well as some empty bowls for all those shells.
Couscous is not seen often on a holiday table and that’s a darn shame! My fragrant Lemon Infused Couscous will have everyone raving and asking for more.
A nice easy Classic Bruschetta is ALWAYS on our tables. It’s great as a chaser for our shots 🙂
These Savory Stuffed Shrooms are heavenly. And best of all, they are freezer friendly. Go ahead try them out!
Pommes Dauphunois. That’s all I’m saying. Epic. Freezer Friendly. Ultimate Tater. If there’s one potato dish you NEED to have, it’s this one.
Simple and easy, these pretty Zucchini Coins act as a great side dish or appetizer.
Buttery, lemony and tasty are all adjectives that can describe my yummy One Pan Lemony Shrooms . Plus serve some crusty bread to mop up the leftover sauce. MMMMM.
These yummy Greek Fava Beans are an absolutely phenomenal side dish and can act as an entree for some of your vegetarian family members.
That’s all folks!!! Hope this made your holiday planning just a tad bit easier! I know it did for me!
