Description
These spicy garlic shrimp are emerged in a golden white wine sauce. A perfect dish for a fast meal that serves up as gourmet as any restaurant dish.
Ingredients

- 1 pound of shrimp (peeled and de-veined)
- 4 tbsp butter
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 a cup white wine
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 4 cloves of garlic (minced on a microplaner)
- 1 shallot finely diced
- 3 scallions (sliced thinly)
- a healthy pinch of red chili flakes
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 order ofcrostini
Instructions
- Heat a sautee pan to medium high heat.
- Add butter and olive oil and allow to melt.
- Add shrimp and sautee for one minute.
- Increase heat to high.
- Add garlic, shallots, chili flakes, lemon juice and white wine. Season with salt and pepper
- Flip the shrimp and allow the mixture to come to a boil so the alcohol can boil out. Cook for 2 more minutes.
- Taste for seasoning. Add scallions. Toss and Serve immediately.
Notes
Note 1: Shrimp take about 3-5 minutes to cook. Not over cooking them is CRUCIAL! As soon as they turn pink on one side, flip them, the next side will take about half as long.
