Easy Spicy Garlic Shrimp

These spicy garlic shrimp are emerged in a golden white wine sauce. A perfect dish for a fast meal that serves up as gourmet as any restaurant dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of shrimp peeled and de-veined
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 a cup white wine
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 4 cloves of garlic minced on a microplaner
  • 1 shallot finely diced
  • 3 scallions sliced thinly
  • a healthy pinch of red chili flakes
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 order ofcrostini

Instructions

  • Heat a sautee pan to medium high heat.
  • Add butter and olive oil and allow to melt.
  • Add shrimp and sautee for one minute.
  • Increase heat to high.
  • Add garlic, shallots, chili flakes, lemon juice and white wine. Season with salt and pepper
  • Flip the shrimp and allow the mixture to come to a boil so the alcohol can boil out. Cook for 2 more minutes.
  • Taste for seasoning. Add scallions. Toss and Serve immediately.

Notes

Note 1: Shrimp take about 3-5 minutes to cook. Not over cooking them is CRUCIAL! As soon as they turn pink on one side, flip them, the next side will take about half as long.
